Traig Clark, Winner 1:12 Pan car

The first Riverside Challenge race was held recently at the RC Racing Station. The turnout was fair with racers from Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana participating; however, the racing was huge.

Four classes were ran- World GT, TC Rubber Tire, 1:12 Pan-car, and TC Foam Tire. Twelfth scale was the largest with nearly 15 pre-registered entries prior to race day. All other classes were slightly less. But for may racers unforeseen conflicts came into the picture and some had to miss the competition.

For those that attended, the action was never ending. Racing started on schedule. Each round of qualifying went smoothly right up to the Main Event races. No scoring and timing problems occurred and sportsmanship was great.

Finally, after taking a maintenance break (and the band), the Main Event was done and over with. And just like the qualifying rounds- the action was electrifying!

Race Update

The RC Racing Station will be hosting its Slash Baja Series 2009 soon.

On May 9, 2009, I went to Gulfport, Mississippi to the Seabee Day RC Race.  It was hot; however, no one seemed to care. The music was live, with plenty of food, and great RC racing.

I was there was to share RC racing with the rest of you via "live" streaming. It was a test run that worked out not too bad.
